The Perth-based company said that CGG Veritas’ Pacific Sword stopped shooting seismic for the 3125km survey in SC63 last Monday to do repairs.
“Acquisition of the remaining program is now scheduled to resume on November 18, following the completion of another operational license within the group shoot,” Nido said.
The new seismic data will provide a uniform base-line survey of modern 2D seismic data across the entire SC63 block, which is operated by PNOC-EC.
Two square kilometres of infill seismic data will then be acquired in the southern part of the block over the Aboado-1 well, which is reported to have flowed gas at 50 million cubic feet per day.
Currently 63% complete, the survey is expected to be wrapped up by November 30, subject to weather.
Elsewhere in the basin, Nido is making good progress on its other seismic campaigns.
The company said the CGG MV Pacific Titan has finished shooting 165sq.km of new 3D seismic in SC54, a permit in which it is operator.
Data processing is underway and the final cube is expected in the first quarter of 2008.
The SC54 survey was designed to provide greater coverage of the Late Miocene Pagasa Turbidite play along the permit’s western flank.
It also adjoins the Abukay 3D seismic survey acquired by the joint venture in late 2006.
Now the Pacific Titan vessel has started a new survey for Nido in SC58, which involves the acquisition of 661sq.km of 3D and 2350km of 2D seismic.
At the end of last week, the SC58 survey was on schedule at 15% complete, and due to be finished by January 14, weather permitting.
