“This is the biggest E&P information technology project in the history of PetroChina. We chose Landmark Graphics as our partner as we are confident that with its expertise and experience, they will deliver a state-of-the-art solution for us as they have done world-wide,” said Liu Xijian, General Manager, Science, Technology & Information Management Department of PetroChina Company Limited.

“This is a critical component in our information management strategy and we are keen to work with a long-term partner like Landmark who is committed as we are to the success of this important endeavor.”

Deploying the latest data management technology, this system is intended to lower business and operations costs while boosting economic efficiency. Landmark – A Halliburton company – said it would help create a collaborative working environment for PetroChina’s exploration and production branch companies and their affiliated oilfield companies through an enterprise-wide standard, secure, and integrated information management system.

“This contract is an excellent example of the great partnerships that result from global organizations like Landmark and PetroChina working to leverage advanced technology,” said Peter Bernard, president, Landmark.

“The Asia Pacific region is very important to Landmark and this contract furthers our commitment to expanding our presence in China providing not only technology but a complete in sourced service solution.”
