CNOOC Ltd NOT buying Medco

This strong denial comes on the back of a statement from a Mainland Chinese media report which stated the CNOOC unit would be buying a 17.1% stake in Medco.

According to CNOOC CFO Mark Qiu, in a phone interview with the Reuters news agency, “CNOOC has received phone calls from investors, who asked it to clarify the report, and we are not reviewing the case.” In short, CNOOC is NOT interested in Medco.
