Crest puts hand up for Petronas Mk II

Crest Petroleum has finally publicly expressed interest in taking part in the proposed 2nd oil consortium for Malaysia. However, the company has admitted that it has not received any notice or approval from the Malaysian government.

Many earlier reports have listed Crest as one of the many companies tipped to be part of the new consortium mooted by Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad in his 2004 Budget.

In addition to Crest, other companies tipped to be part of this new body are Ranhill, Petra Perdana Bhd and Jawala Corp Sdn Bhd.
