BSO said lower average oil prices was the main reason behind a 19% drop in income for the December quarter. The average oil price for the December quarter was $39.74, down $10.30 from $50.04 received in the September 2001 quarter.

Oil production for the quarter was 14.8 million barrels of oil, which was a 2.6% decrease on the previous quarter.
