RGIT Montrose said the headquarters is one of several new training locations being opened by the company and includes a purpose-built 'Major Emergency Management' simulator, which creates a high-pressure environment to train managers and their teams.
"The facility establishes authentic emergency conditions by using communications, lighting and a unique computerised fire and gas process simulator," RGIT Montrose said.
"Any level of scenario can be simulated ranging from a false alarm to a full scale emergency involving mass causalities and eventual site or facility abandonment."
The company, which has been part of the North Sea oil and gas scene for the past 25 years, said it has also established project development teams to be based at offices in Perth, Point Lisas, Trinidad, Houston as well as Aberdeen and Montrose in Scotland.
