Beach announce DRP following increased profit

Beach declared a dividend following strong half-yearly results. The discount to the interim dividend will result in a share issue price of $0.307889.

During the quarter the company released its half-year results, reporting an increase in net profit to $3.35 million for the six months to 31 December, compared with $518,000 in the previous corresponding period.

This resulted in an interim unfranked dividend of 0.5 cents payable for every fully paid ordinary share held by Beach shareholders registered on the company's share register at 30 April 2003.

The company also declared an operating profit before tax of $4.77 million compared to $773,000 in the previous corresponding six months, and revenue of $17.1 million for the first half of the financial year.
