The nominations came from two joint venture projects and the company's focus on social aspects to the proposed WA-271-P Field development located offshore from the North West Cape.

Tap Oil also received a nomination for its turtle study and biological survey of the Pilbara coastal island and Apache Energy for the Victoria Oilfield development on the North West Shelf.

Griffin Energy was nominated for its sustainable power project to supply new electricity generation.

The awards are now into their 12th year and companies are nominated for surpassing the basic regulatory requirements for environmental management in the resources industry. The awards will be presented at a ceremony in September.
