The firm also plans to establish corporate bases in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, with the latter being made the management hub for the Duffy & McGovern’s third global operational hub behind Aberdeen and New Orleans.
“South East Asia is an increasingly important market for our business and we are totally committed to creating a permanent presence there, as our substantial fleet investment in the region shows,” said Duffy & McGovern managing director Craig McLeish.
“We have already had early successes in the region through our existing agents, Lodios, in Perth and we are delighted to be able to bring new agents on board to complete our Asian network.”
McLeish said corporate offices in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore would be "the final link in the chain", allowing the company to provide a seamless service for its customers operating in South East Asia.
"The strong network which is emerging in South East Asia is the next stage of our globalisation plans and will extend our coverage of the world’s energy hot spots," he said.
“Over the last two years we have significantly expanded our business both in terms of our fleet size and our geographical reach. We now have an established presence in 16 cities and 13 countries worldwide and a global customer base to match.”
