Sinclair Knight Merz expands into Scotland

Leading professional services consulting firm, Sinclair Knight Merz, has further extended its global reach after the successful completion of merger negotiations with leading Scottish-based structural and civil engineering consulting firm, Kirkman + Bradford.

The Edinburgh-headquartered, Kirkman + Bradford will be able to draw on the commercial, education and sports engineering expertise of the Sinclair Knight Merz Group, as well as capture new opportunities to expand into the environmental, transport, energy and building services markets.

Sinclair Knight Merz now employs more than 3000 people in offices across the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, South East Asia, the Pacific and South America.

It has a long and proven track record in the resources and petro-chemical industries.

In Europe, it is involved in the development of a new light rail system in Dublin, London's Wembley Stadium and a new stadium for the Benfica Football Club in Lisbon.

Kirkman + Bradford was established in 1987 with staff predominantly operating in the private building market.

The practice has a wide range of experience in residential and commercial buildings, health care, leisure facilities, art galleries, industrial buildings and educational facilities.
