Fire injures six at Petrobras platform

According to Economico Valor, Petrobras said the fire started in the vicinity of the platform's water tank and was promptly extinguished.

All six of the minor-injured workers came from Odebrecht Oil & Gas and were released after a medical evaluation.

Production from the platform, which reportedly produced about 2.4 billion barrels of oil per day from the Namorado field in April, was expected to resume once the required inspections were complete.

The potential cause of the fire was not revealed.
