Located south of Geraldton in WA's mid-west, the farm is due to be completed in December 2005 and will have a nameplate generating capacity of 90MW from 54 turbines, the equivalent of displacing 400,000 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions per annum.

The purchase of Greenpower Rights means Jackgreen has exchangeable rights to claim eligible green power from the farm under the Green Power national accreditation program, supporting Jackgreen's guarantee that every kilowatt hour of energy provided to customers will be matched by a kWh from a renewable source.

"Jackgreen is Australia's dedicated green power provider and this contract demonstrates a significant long-term commitment to new wind generation," said Jackgreen managing director Andrew Randall.

"It is also an important step in our ongoing support for Australian renewable energy providers."
