New Horizon in solar deal with Duke

Sydney-based New Horizon Energy has reached agreement with Duke Energy for access to Duke's solar...

The technology is used in the United States and Europe, producing economically viable, vertically integrated renewable energy.

New Horizon said the system will form an integral part of its joint venture with Landfill Management Services (LMS), in which solar and thermal technologies are used to co-generate power using gases produced in landfill locations accessible to LMS.

"This is an important step forward for the company in its goal of utilising low cost, high efficiency technology to establish robust renewable energy projects with the ability to provide strong returns to shareholders," said New Horizon Energy executive director, Antonio Gelonesi.
