SDS pick up wind farm contract

SDS has made good on its promise to win more wind energy work after it splashed out last year on ...

The company announced today it has won a contract to help erect 23 wind towers at the Starfish Hill Wind Farm which is located 110 kilometres south of Adelaide.

SDS put a figure in excess of $1 million on the contract.

SDS hopes to win more of such work. It said that recently the SA Government had given planning approval to 330 towers with a further 1000 being planned for construction prior to 2006.

It also said that in Victoria, 260 wind towers are waiting for regulatory approvals.
