The deal involves an unconditional order for 128 megawatts of wind turbines, operational and maintenance support and civil works. It has also prompted the government-owned Hydro Tasmania to announce it would go ahead with the second stage of the 130MW Woolnorth wind farm in north-west Tasmania. The project will see the construction of 31 turbines, which are expected to be in operation by the middle of next year.
