Personnel movements: A Roach in the ranks for Antares

ROACH, Antares Energy; Boyer, Ritchie, Golden Gate Petroleum; Askin, Bass Strait Oil.

Antares Energy

Antares Energy has appointed Kelli Roach to the board of directors to act as a director of general counsel and chief administrative officer.

The appointment is the formalisation of a pre-existing relationship, with Roach consulting for Antares since 2003 in the US.

She has 14 years' experience representing oil and gas companies on a range of matters including oil and gas transactions, commercial matters and corporate governance.

Roach also has a background in the US legal system, opening Roach Law Group in 2004 and serving as a member of the American, Texas and Dallas bars, joining the latter's energy law, corporate council and labour and employment law sections.

Golden Gate Petroleum

Chris Boyer has stepped down as Golden Gate Petroleum's company secretary.

He has been with the company since April 2008 and will be replaced with current chief financial officer Chris Ritchie.

Ritchie is a fellow of Chartered Secretaries Australia and a fellow of CPA Australia.

Bass Strait Oil

Henry Askin has retired from the board of Bass Strait Oil, where he had been a director for 13 years.

The company said it was grateful for the contribution made by Askin during this time and it had benefited from his enduring support and industry knowledge.

The board will now be made up of non-executive directors John McInnes, Andy Whittle, David Lindh and Jayme McCoy.
