BHP BILLITON: BHP Billiton Ltd announced that on October 2, 2007 it purchased 750,000 ordinary shares of BHP Billiton Plc at an average price of 1775.67 pence per ordinary share.
Following the above transaction, BHP Billiton Plc holds 24,310,000 of its ordinary shares as treasury shares and BHP Billiton Ltd holds 48,076,226 of the ordinary shares in BHP Billiton Plc, for a total of 72,386,226 shares. The total number of BHP Billiton Plc ordinary shares in issue (excluding shares held as treasury shares and shares held by BHP Billiton Ltd) is 2,255,639,062
DYESOL: Sylvia Tulloch disposed of 3,900,000 fully paid ordinary shares in off market transfers on September 21. Following these transfers she now holds, indirectly 23,604,500 fully paid ordinary shares and 2,162,500 options exercisable at 20 cents by November 30, 2008. Note: Sylvia and Gavin Tulloch have effected the transfer of shares to the team of scientists, support staff and advisors who worked on developing the DSC technology prior to establishment of Dyesol. This transfer recognises that development of a great technology is always a team effort, and the Tullochs believe that this is an appropriate way of recognising those contributions. Most of these early team members are still working with Dyesol, and look forward to seeing their shareholding further increase in value as the company continues to grow.
ELK PETROLEUM: Citigroup Global Markets Australia Pty Ltd and each of the related bodies corporate in the Citigroup group of companies worldwide, decreased it substantial shareholding to 5.88% on September 26.
KUTH ENERGY: Victoria Bishop and Joe Bishop became a substantial shareholder on September 25, with a voting power of 13.7%. Gaius Lucanus Lindsay King became a substantial shareholder on September25, with a voting power of 5.81%. Bullock Point Pty Ltd became a substantial shareholder on September 25, with a voting power of 5.4%.
MEO AUSTRALIA: MEO advises that the largest shareholder in the company, Cambrian Oil and Gas Plc has recently reduced its interest from 22.8% to 21.3% following the sale of 5 million shares.
Existing institutional shareholders, including Lehman Brothers, acquired the shares. MEO is pleased to see the ongoing support from substantial institutional investors, particularly those that demonstrate strong banking and project financing capabilities. Such shareholders will be fundamental in the future support of the company’s objectives dependent on the confirmation of commercial natural gas resources during the NT/P68 appraisal drilling program and development decisions to construct the Tassie Shoal Gas-to-Liquid projects.
NIDO PETROLEUM: James Brown disposed of 2,000,000 fully paid ordinary shares on September 25, for $590,400. Following this transaction, he now holds directly, 3,500.000 tranche 1 director options exercisable at 10 cents and expiring May 27, 2008, 1,500.000 tranche 2 director options exercisable at 15 cents and expiring May 27, 2008 and 1,000,000 director options exercisable at 20 cents and expiring May 31, 2009. JPMorgan Chase & Co and its affiliates decreased it substantial shareholding to 7.32% on September 28.
SANTOS: Stephen Gerlach acquired 687 fully paid ordinary shares at $13.3391 on October 2, pursuant to an allocation resulting from participation in the dividend reinvestment plan. Following this issue, he now holds, indirectly, 46,512 fully paid ordinary shares. Kenneth Borda acquired 450 fully paid ordinary shares at $13.3391 on October 2, pursuant to an allocation resulting from participation in the dividend reinvestment plan. Following this issue he now holds, indirectly, 30,450 fully paid ordinary shares.
