Broken gas engine sparks concerns of increasing power outages in NZ

ENERGY Resources Aotearoa (ERA), formerly Petroleum Exploration and Production Association of New Zealand, has warned the risk of electricity shortages for next winter has increased following damage to one of Contact Energy’s gas turbine peaking units in Stratford, North Island.
