Texas-based Citation Oil and Gas Resources has taken on a 10.2% working interest, Oklahoma-based Continental Resources has acquired a working interest of 5.3%, and Exxon subsidiary XTO Energy is taking on 1.7%.
Brookside said an additional 2.1% working interest "was taken up by a combination of private equity and smaller private oil and gas firms."
Citation Oil and Gas, Brookside notes, is one of the largest private gas companies in the US.
The company further highlights Citation's past and ongoing work in the geographical area surrounding Brookside's acreage, which it describes as the SWISH Area of Interest.
Continental is among the top ten oil producers in the US and the most dominant market operator across the Anadarko Basin, Brookside notes, citing the company's "very large holdings throughout the STACK and SCOOP plays and a dominant position in the southern SCOOP."
Brookside retains an 80% working interest in Rangers.
"It is particularly pleasing to be partnering with Citation and Continental who are very active within the SWISH AOI with dominant land holdings...that includes some of the best wells drilled in the highly sought-after Sycamore Woodford trend," Brookside managing director David Prentice said.
Brookside shares are up 5% to 2.1cps.
