APPEA seeks new board members

The vacancies have arisen after nine of the current 16 member board reach their two-year term limit, requiring them to either retire or stand for re-election.

Nominations for are therefore called to fill the vacancies which can be made in writing. Any Full Member company may nominate a candidate for election

 "The role of the APPEA Board is to operate at the highest level of policy and to set and steer the overall strategic direction of the Association," APPEA said in a statement.

"Nominees are therefore expected to hold the most senior position within the nominating company and at least be the equivalent of the CEO of the oil and gas exploration and production business in cases where the company concerned has multiple businesses."

Vacancies will be filled by election if required.

Voting will close at midday eastern standard time on November 11.

Results will be announced at the APPEA annual general meeting on November 13 in Perth.
