Garnaut slashes industry compensation slice

THE Ross Garnaut final review on climate change is out and with it suggestions of a pricing mechanism to administer a carbon control regime. And while the report itself has drawn quite a wide ranging response, the Gillard administration has distanced itself from the report, saying it is only one input into any final outcome on climate change policy.
