"Another substantial flow rate at Rayburn from the Gilbert Freeman 1 well demonstrates the continuing success of the drilling and testing program to
date," managing director Simon Ashton said.
Production from Gilbert Freeman-1, coupled with the production from the Duncan-1 and 2 wells, brings total output at Rayburn up to 24 million cubic feet of gas per day and 600bbl of condensate.
Elsewhere at Rayburn, Strike is preparing to run wireline logging at Gilbert Freeman-2, spudded on May 3.
Strike has recorded gas shows in drill cuttings and mud logs in the Cook Mountain Formation.
The significance of these shows will be further evaluated by wireline logging, the company said.
The well is 710m from Gilbert Freeman-1 and is primarily targeting the same Middle Wilcox sands that are now on production from the Duncan-1, 2 and Gilbert Freeman-1 wells.
Strike has a 22.8% working interest in the Rayburn project.
