The Perth-based company said the third well, Lombardi 9-27H, was being tied into facilities and was expected to increase field production further this week.

Output from the field is soon expected to reach a total of 1000bopd.

Once finished at this project, the completion rig will move to Salinas’ nearby McCool Ranch project to production test the Capps-1-22H horizontal well.

At North Yowlumne, the company is also preparing to production test its current well, which was drilled to a total depth of 13,055 feet (3979m) and encountered gas and oil shows in the primary target interval.

“The target interval contains thin interbedded sands and indications of fracturing,” Salinas said.

“The highest gas shows were associated with the fractured intervals.”

In Louisiana, Salinas said it expects drilling to start on the Grainger-1 well targeting the Reese oil and gas prospect, in which it is earning a 25% stake.
