Operator QGC expects to rapidly increase gas supplies to the power generator in the coming month, so that it can deliver the full contract rate of 20.3 terajoules per day (7.4 petajoules per year) by late August.

Argyle-Kenya is QGC's second CSM project to come online, following first sales from the nearby Berwyndale South development in May 2006.

Seventeen wells have now been completed at Argyle-Kenya, 11 of which are in production.

QGC is the operator and majority owner of the southwest Queensland field with a 59.375% interest, while Origin Energy has a 40.625% stake.
