The Perth-based company yesterday said Eremia-7, in production licence L1, had reached a total depth of 2996m and the operation was conditioning the hole for wireline logging.
Based on preliminary evaluation of a full suite of logging while drilling (LWD) logs, the well has intersected the Dongara Sandstone reservoir at 2051m true vertical depth subsea, about 12m high to prognosis, and 2m above the previous highest intersection in the field.
Arc said based on the LWD logs, Eremia-7 is interpreted to have intersected an 11m-thick oil column overlying an approximate 16m-thick partially swept zone.
“This is another excellent result for the appraisal/development drilling at Eremia,” managing director Eric Streitberg said.
“The results of the appraisal and development programs to date have further underscored the value and productivity of the company’s Perth basin production assets.”
Arc and Origin Energy each hold a 50% stake in L1.
