Korean LNG renewal for NWSV

Operator Woodside today said under the deal, starting April 2009, NWSV will supply Kogas with up to 500,000 tonnes a year of LNG for seven years on a delivered basis.

It said Kogas was an important customer of the NWS, having signed a contract in 2003 that ends in March 2010. This sale and purchase agreement amends and extends the initial contract.

The six equal participants in the NWSV are Woodside Energy (operator); BHP Billiton (North West Shelf); BP Developments Australia; Chevron Australia; Japan Australia LNG (MIMI) and Shell Development (Australia).

CNOOC NWS Private is also a member of the NWSV but is not a party to this agreement.
