Oil and gas refineries contributed Rs100 crore ($A30.3 million) to HAI’s revenues last year, with power accounting for Rs50 crore, said HAI managing director Harshavardhan Chitale.
HAI’s net revenue for 2004 amounted to Rs300 crore, just under 75% of Honeywell India’s group revenues.
Key clients in the region include the Indian Oil Corporation, IPCL, Bharat Petroleum Corp, NTPC, Tata Power and Reliance Energy, with HAI providing equipment and services for oil exploration, refining, and power generation.
HAI oversaw the Indian release of Honeywell’s Experion Process Knowledge (EPK) System R300, used to capture and implement best work practices through procedural operations. The Experion solution is one of Honeywell’s flagship product ranges in the oil and gas industry.
Chitale estimated India’s total market for industrial automation was worth Rs1500 crore per annum.
HAI also reported significant growth in its automotive and security businesses.
