The purchase order was placed by TWWA with ClampOn’s Australian representative, Aquip Systems. ClampOn will supply the hardware and associated software, while Aquip Systems will oversee the commissioning and start-up of the completed systems.
ClampOn’s digital signal processing (DSP) Particle Monitor is installed just after a pipe bend. When particles hit the inside of the pipe wall, it generates an ultra-sonic signal that travels through the pipe wall, where it is picked up by the acoustic sensor. The sensor digitises, filters and processes the signal to produce an accurate sand rate quantification.
“This contract is the result of close discussions, searching for the best possible solution and meeting TWWA demands,” says Olav Brakstad, ClampOn sales manager, Asia and Pacific.
“We are confident that our strong focus on supplying high-quality sensors and first class service, along with continuous technology development is what makes us a world leader.”
The North Rankin and Goodwyn fields are part of the North West Shelf Venture, which ClampOn said supplies about 65% of Western Australia’s gas through its onshore gas plant near Karratha.
