Arun exports return to normal following pipeline repairs

LNG output and gas production at ExxonMobil Oil Indonesia’s Arun field in the Aceh province have returned to normal after last Wednesday’s condensate pipeline leak that cut gas supplies by almost half.

An Exxon Mobil spokesman said gas flows from the field had been cut by about 50% to 300 mmscf/d during repairs to the condensate pipeline but returned to the normal 600 mmscf/d from Saturday evening.

LNG exports were unaffected by the pipeline leak, the cause of which was still being investigated. "There is no impact on the liquefied natural gas (shipment) schedule," said Deva Rachman.

EMOI is currently the sole natural gas producer in Aceh, with its Arun output largely transported to the country's oldest LNG plant.
