In a statement the firm said, “Eni has successfully completed all the development activities of phases 4 and 5 of the South Pars field. The plan includes the setting up of two platforms in about 60 metres of water and the building of the onshore gas process plant in Assaluyeh, 250 km southeast of Bushehr.”
“It also included the laying of two 100 km marine sealines for the transport of gas from the field to the plant in Assaluyeh and the drilling of appraisal and development wells,” it added without elaborating further.
Eni is the operator of phases 4 and 5 and holds a 60% stake in the JV. The other partners in the project are Petropars and NaftIran Intertrade, each with a 20% stake.
