Posco to expand Gwangyang LNG facility

The original terminal is scheduled for completion in June next year.

In a statement Posco spokesperson Kim Soo-Jung said, “The expansion of the LNG terminal will start next February and will be completed by the end of 2008.

“Once the expansion is completed, the LNG terminal’s processing capacity will be roughly 3 million metric tons a year, up from the current 1.7 million tons,” she added.

Posco uses LNG as fuel for its blast furnaces.
