The launch of the vessel was announced previously in EnergyReview.net.

In a statement by PT McDermott Indonesia President Steve Roll said, “[ConocoPhillips’s] first shipment was made after the launching of the Belanak Natuna processing vessel built by PT McDermott Indonesia.”

“The completion of the US$150 million oil and gas processing vessel enables ConocoPhilips to sell gas to other ASEAN countries,” added Roll.

On a separate note, sources indicate the firm will be releasing as much as 4,500 staff due to a sharp decline in demand for the McDermott’s services.

The insider did not elaborate further and McDermott has yet to release a statement to the market.
