Fuel fight at Singapore’s bowsers

By the afternoon, both Shell and Caltex have announced similar cuts. Not to be left behind, the Singapore Petroleum Co entered the fray by offering a 5% discount and another 5% for cars bearing a company sticker available at all its stations, which it had acquired from British Petroleum.

The next best offer is by Shell and Caltex stations at the Jurong Port, which is offering a 6% discount on pump prices. It is unknown how long the fuel fight can be maintained as crudes prices in Asia recently hit US$50 per barrel.
