With the addition of the new unit combined production from Gocerler and Adatepe alone is now in excess of 26MMscf/d after a period of declining reservoir pressure in Gocerler as the field was being produced.
Prior to the new compressor the gas plant required a 300+ psi differential between the reservoir and sales gas pipeline in order to efficiently remove the condensate.
The main unit at Gocerler was approaching this critical pressure and needed compression to maintain the pressure and allow continued production to much lower reservoir pressures.
A single unit was ordered and fabricated in Canada as per the required specifications. This compressor has Gocerler 1-5 tied in and is capable of drawing down the reservoir pressure over time to effectively produce almost all the available gas.
Gocerler-6 is not tied to the compressor as it is producing gas from an overlying sand unit that still has adequate reservoir pressure. The Gocerler field is now producing approximately 16.5 MMcf/d.
