ConocoPhillips, KBR choose Lloyd’s

Lloyds Register EMEA has announced it has been awarded two contracts, one each by ConocoPhillips ...

In a statement Lloyd’s said, “ConocoPhillips has awarded Lloyd’s Register EMEA a three year compliance services contract for its UK operations. Lloyd’s Register EMEA will provide ConocoPhillips with a range of services including independent verification, safety engineering, asset integrity and Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental activities.”

“Lloyd’s Register EMEA, through [our] Aberdeen office, has [also] won a significant contract with the multi-national engineering firm Kellogg Brown & Root. The five-year contract is for the provision of asset integrity services across ChevronTexaco operated assets on the UK continental shelf [and] will see KBR Production Services and Lloyd’s Register EMEA working together to achieve the ChevronTexaco asset integrity objectives safely and in a spirit of trust and co-operation,” added the company.

The KBR contract covers six vessels: four fixed steel structures and two floating installations and is being seen as the first of a series of longer, long-term cooperative ventures between the KBR and Lloyd’s.

According to ChevronTexaco Business Manager for KBR Production Services Dave Irvine, “Lloyd’s Register EMEA secured this contract by demonstrating excellent alignment with KBR’s business drivers for safely delivering value.”

“Its capabilities and experience complement our own and we look forward to maximising benefits for ChevronTexaco, Lloyd’s Register EMEA and KBR Production Services,” added Irvine.
