Shell to centralise Malaysian gas production

Sarawak Shell Bhd, a subsidiary of Shell Malaysia, has been given the go ahead to begin stage one...

According to the press statement released by Shell, "the project would see the centralisation of gas output from surrounding offshore Sarawak fields through one integrated facility for processing, before channelling to [the] Petronas LNG complex."

The focus of the expansion will be on the "development of 500 million barrels of oil and raising capacity of the existing E11 facility from 700 million cu ft per day to 1,650 million by 2006."
