According to reports published in the Indian media, Reliance quoted US$2.97 per MMBTU. This figure is lower than the prices quoted by foreign bidders Royal Dutch/Shell, Yemen LNG and Petronas.

Once the deal is finalised, Reliance will transport the LNG from fields in the Krishna-Godavari basin in Andhra Pradesh to Gujarat, where the plants are sited.
