The drilling program is part of Arrow’s “aggressive appraisal and reserves certification program” to gain independent certification by the end of June.
The certification will be conducted by Netherland, Sewell and Associates Inc.
According to Arrow Chief Operating Officer, Nick Davies, “With the commencement of gas flows from our second pilot we move nearer to proving commerciality of our second production source – with both fields having conditional gas sales MOUs attached to them.”
“The Tipton West field will now become the second confirmed source of supply in our strategy to develop multiple supply options and multiple buyers in a rapid appraisal and marketing program for our discoveries in the Surat Basin, Clarence-Moreton Basin and Nagoorin Graben,” added Davies.
Arrow has a gas supply contract – in aggregate – for 6.7 PJ per annum of gas from the Tipton West project to ERM Wambo Power Ventures and Ergon Energy. The MOU signed between Arrow and the two companies callc for a 15-year supply.
Tipton West is the second pilot of a multi-pilot program. Kogan North – the first – has been flowing for over a year with gas rates around the 500,000 scfd mark. although a development decision will not be made until the end of June on the field.
