NWS in spot LNG deal with Tokyo Electric

The North West Shelf (NWS) partners have signed a sale and purchase agreement for the supply of 1...

The LNG spot cargo was loaded on May 31 from the joint venture's loading facilities in Withnell Bay at Karratha in Western Australia.

The cargo will be delivered to Tokyo Electric's LNG receiving terminal in Japan. Tokyo Electric will be responsible for the shipping.

The six equal partners in the joint venture include Woodside Petroleum Ltd as operator, BHP Billiton, BP Developments Australia Pty Ltd, Chevron Australia Pty Ltd, Japan Australia LNG Pty Ltd and Shell Development (Australia) Pty Ltd.
