Wood Group said Pedersen has transferred from J P Kenny (a Wood Group Company) to take up this appointment and brings with him a wealth of experience in the oil and gas arena.
“Vernon has 23 years experience as a professional engineer most of which has been on design, construction project management, and integrity management of pipelines and associated oil and gas facilities,” the company said in a statement to the market.
“He has worked in all areas from feasibility assessment through contract administration, site supervision and project management on a wide range of pipeline, piping, and facilities projects in most Australian states and in many other parts of the world.”
In 1994 he was transferred to J P Kenny’s Houston office for two years to manage project teams performing engineering and project management work for offshore and onshore projects in Russia, Africa and India.
He was responsible for the performance of several FEED, detailed design and specialised consulting assignments, before returning to the Asia-Pacific region late in 1996 in the position of Engineering Manager at J P Kenny, Wood Group said.
