Zones in the uppermost Kapuni sands and within the Murihiki basement were perforated and can either be tested separately or together.
These are anticipated to commence on the 10th August. The program will initially involve several short term tests in which the well will be flowed for several days and shut in for similar periods to collect reservoir pressure information. These will be followed by longer term tests designed to evaluate the productivity and size of the oil accumulation.
Negotiations to transport and sell any oil produced are in progress and are expected to be finalised soon according to the partners.
