As a result of the takeover, EPC's operations will be relocated to a new 12,000-square foot facility adjacent to IDM's Houston rig manufacturing facility.
It will also find itself alongside the Diversified Electrical Systems operations that IDM acquired earlier this year. The combined operations will be integrated into IDM's Control Systems Division.
The current president of EPC, David Carroll, will become general manager of the division, which makes silicon controlled rectifier controls, AC variable frequency drives, programmable logic controller systems, integrated drilling rig power as well as control and monitoring systems.
