Adatepe-2 ready for production

Amity Oil will begin production from another of its Turkish discoveries after completing a production test over a gas bearing interval at the Adatepe-2 well.

The tested formation was the lowest and thickest of the three gas zones encountered in the well and will be the one put into production.

Adatepe-2 is a development well on the Adatepe field located 6km southeast of the Gocerler gas field. The well is now suspended as a producer awaiting the pipeline linkage to the gas processing facility soon to be constructed at the Adatepe-1 location.

Amity will now proceed to test a location on the other side of the Adatepe field at Adatepe-3.

Participants in the well are Amity Oil 50% (operator) and Türkiye Petrolleri A.O. 50%.

Meanwhile, the company has also spudded the Yuksekkoy-1 well 25km south-west of the city of Adana and 14km east of the city of Tarsus.

Yuksekkoy-1 is positioned to test a relatively shallow domal structure, well defined by good quality 2D seismic, shot earlier this year.

Amity has estimated Yuksekkoy-1 has potential in-place oil resources of 30 million barrels or 36 Billion cubic feet of gas.

The company holds a 90% interest in the block of four exploration licences which include the Yuksekkoy structure and has farmed out a 10% interest to The Krystal Corporation.
