The new range is based on 320A and 400A inverter power sources and each unit is also available in a 'W' version with a water cooling unit.
For 1-knob-wedling operations, Kempomig's wire feeder unit Feed 400 has 20 standard programs for synergic control, with power adjustments made on the control panel or via remote control of the PMT MIG gun.
Feed 400 allows adjustments to the welding process to give welders flexibility, reliability and continuity during operation.
The wire feed mechanism is a four-roll SL 400 with automatic wire inch. Maximum wire feed speed can be set to 18m/min or 25m/min by selecting the required gear supplied with the machine.
With the MIG Minilog facility, a welder can pre-select an additional current value from the function panel and, after selecting the main welding current values, can select either Hot Start (a current value greater than the main welding current) or a value lower than the main welding current.
"What this feature does is regulate heat input by switching between two current values when welding, and it controls weld pools when root gaps vary by rapidly changing power levels via the torch trigger," KEMPPI said.
