The rate of sales gas production has increased from an average of 14.1 million cubic feet per day (mmcfd) at the end of July to 18.2mmcfd, along with a significant increase in condensate production.
Amity has worked towards an average production rate of around 18-20mmcfd to accommodate increased demand over peak periods. The upgrade means the plant now has capacity to deliver up to a peak demand of 30mmcfd.
Amity has now been producing from the Gocerler field for over 18 months.
Prior to acquiring 3D seismic over the field and drilling the last two appraisal wells at Gocerler, Amity released a Proved plus Probable (2P) Original Gas in Place estimate of 61 billion cubic feet (bcf). The previous 2P estimate (61 BCF) is comparable with the current P50 estimate of 44bcf.
The reduction in the current P50 OGIP estimate resulted from more accurate mapping of the field following the acquisition and interpretation of the new data, thus removing much of the uncertainty associated with the previous mapping and OGIP estimation for the field.
Amity Oil Limited has a 50% interest in the Gocerler field.
