Shelf signs off on Kogas LNG deal as cyclone shuts down production

The LNG deal is for up to half a million tonnes per annum, with first delivery being at the end of this year. This agreement follows the recent announcement of the sale of four LNG cargoes to South Korea. It is a seven year contract.

Meanwhile Tropical Cyclone Harriet has halted production at a number of facilities, including the Griffin Venture and Cossack Pioneer FPSOs. The delay has also impacted on the drilling schedule of rigs in the region, with the Glomar Jack Ryan and Ensco 56 being affected.
