"Each of the three wells - WR-N4, WB-N5, WB-N6 - have been perforated over the F Sandstone interval and have shown positive indications with an immediate buildup in wellhead pressure," Carnarvon said.
"The response in these wells is consistent with what appears to be better developed and more productive reservoir rock towards the northern end of the Wichian Buri North structure.
"Production testing will be important in evaluating reservoir quality, forecasting reservoir and well performance and optimising long term reservoir and well management when the wells come onstream."
The junior explorer said the arrival of production equipment is expected on site around mid-November when the wells will be brought into full production from the F Sandstone formation only.
"The perforation and testing of the other oil-bearing zones encountered in the three Phase Two wells, the E and G Sandstones, is planned once production performance from the F Sandstone reservoir has been determined for each well," the company said.
Together with joint venture partner Pacific Tiger Energy Inc (60% - operator), Carnarvon is also considering options and the timing for the Phase Three development program. The third phase will target both further development wells in production licence one in the northern area of the field as well as the highly prospective Huai Phai prospect to the east within the recently awarded second production licence.
