After initially perforating a 12 metre section of the Yellowdrum Formation, which was productive in the Blina-4 and 6 wells, Blina-2 recovered a few barrels of clean oil.

However the company said the well was currently producing water with a low percentage oil cut and they were still to determine whether the well was commercially viable.

Efforts to remove stuck tubing in Blina-6 were unsuccessful and the workover crane has moved to Blina-1 where Kimberley will perforate and test an additional interval in the Nullara Formation.

Company director Ross Reiser said they did not want to break any of the down hole equipment in Blina-6 and would temporarily put that into the 'too hard basket', pending the arrival of a drilling rig. They then plan to move to Blina-5.
