Lakes flows oil from Wombat-3

LAKES Oil has flowed oil from its Wombat-3 well in the onshore Gippsland Basin, Victoria, after removing some 50m of fraccing sand which was blocking recovery of gas or fluids.

The oil is being flowed along with gas and fraccing fluids from a natural fracture in the Strzelecki Formation at a depth of 2106m that was previously hydraulically stimulated. Lakes said it would continue...
