Woollybutt partners spud new appraisal well

Located roughly midway between the two oil discovery wells of Woollybutt-3A and Woollybutt-5A, the well is intended to prove up an oil column and southern extension of the Woollybutt South Field, joint venture partner Tap Oil said.

“If the appraisal is successful Woollybutt-6H will be completed as a development well and tied back to the existing Woollybutt infrastructure,” Tap said.

“Woollybutt-6H has a planned total depth of 3200 metres measured depth with drilling, completion and well-testing operations expected to take about 46 days.”
